In April in Morocco has for us as a summer foretaste, a sunbathing and sweet heat by waiting for the arrival of May...
With climbing as a pretext, it is for a travel in the discovery of deep Morocco which I invite you in a new formula far from mass tourism tracks.
You will embark in Sète on a ferry toTanger on April 17th after noon or you will off-load after a mini cruise of 36 hours on 20th in the morning.
I'll find you at the release of the customs of the port and from there, after a stopping place in the fishers' harbour of Larache. we shall set off to the High-Atlas to meet Amellago cliffs and boulders' extraordinary limestones and sandstones where we'll pass one week. We'll do a stop to visit the Volubilis city ruins.
We shall then set off to the North which first stage will be in the medina of Fes for the discovery of the Arabian-Berber eternal city. Then we'll do a stopping place of 3 days to climb near Oued Laou, a small fishermen's town on the coast of Rif where we'll take advantage of attractions of the Mediterranean Coast.
Then we'll take together in Tangier the ferry which will return us on May 3th in the morning in port of Sète, after rest day and offshore relaxation.
Indicative program:
On Thursday, 19 : departure of Sète
On Saterday, 19 : arrived at Morocco, Larache harbour and road to Volubilis
On Sunday, 20 : Road to Amellago, bouldering.
From Monday, 21 till Tuesday 22 : climbing in Amellago
On Wednesday, 23 : rest (possible Hike)
From Thursday, 24 till Friday, 25 : climbing in Amellagoo
On Saterday, 26 : road from Amellago to Fes (bouldering in Middle Atlas)
On Sunday, 27 : Medina de Fes, road to Oued Laou
From Monday, 28 till Wednesday, 30 : climbing in the gorges of Oued Laou
On Thursday, 1 : boarding in Tangier
On Saturday, 3: return in Sète in the morning.
Price : 1200 Euros including the guide, the food and the accommodation in Morocco.
For the ferry count, for a round trip from 70 euro a person to 250 euro depending comfort.
Maximum persons: 6.
